About Barely Canadian
Barely Canadian is a social enterprise clothing and lifestyle brand driven by a heartfelt mission to support foster youth. Our kind and inclusive portfolio of super soft sweaters, hoodies, onesies, sunsies, smittens and other ultra-comfy apparel is expressly designed to keep you cozy and layered in love, color, and acceptance. Founded in 2021 in Venice, California, by foster- adoptive parents Kelly Slattery and Delaney Miller, Barely Canadian was initially launched as a vehicle to teach the couple’s children how to build a business from the ground up. The burgeoning company expanded its core team in 2022, bringing Kelly’s long-time friend and colleague Marisa Polvino on board. We are now proud to be fulfilling our dream of raising funds for foster youth organizations through the sale of the cuddliest of clothing.
